Water Conservation Notice

Area Affected: Moose Factory, ON

A decrease in water pressure will begin this evening from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am. The need to decrease the water will be reassessed tomorrow.

Overnight the water plant has experienced some issues that have resulted in much lower than usual amounts of water being produced resulting in a depleted reservoir.

Please note that the issues have not affected the water quality.

The Water Plant Operators have determined that water conservation will be needed at this time. To ensure sufficient water reserves for both the community and firefighting purposes, the pressure will need to be decreased beginning later today to allow the reservoir levels to build up. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

We need your support conserving water because it is a crucial part of the strategy to keep this temporary situation as short as possible for the safety of consumers and fire protection.

If you suspect a leak or detect a water leak, please call either:

Moose Factory Water Treatment Plant: 705 658 2034 or
Moose Cree First Nation Public Works: 705 658 4619

Kind regards,
Ontario Clean Water Agency
