As you may be aware, there are proposed amendments to Moose Cree First Nation’s existing agreement with Detour Gold. These amendments make important changes to the existing agreement, which was approved by Moose Cree Membership back in 2010. In an upcoming ratification vote, the Moose Cree Membership will get to decide whether to approve the proposed amendments.
The purpose of this notice is to give you an update on the following:
Delivery of Plain Language Booklet Explaining the Proposed Amendments
A booklet explaining the proposed amendments to the Detour Agreement will be delivered directly to Members’ homes in Moose Factory Island and Moosonee.
Please take the time to review the booklet so that you can make an informed decision when you vote on whether to approve the proposed amendments. A digital copy of the booklet is already available through the Membership section of the Moose Cree First Nation website.

Community Consultation Sessions
Community consultation sessions about the proposed amendments will be held in the coming weeks. We encourage you to attend these sessions so that your Moose Cree negotiating team can answer any questions you have about the proposed amendments.

The Ratification Vote
