Water Conservation Notice

Area Affected: Moose Factory, Ontario

A decrease in water pressure will begin this evening from 9:00 P.M to 6:00 A.M. The need to decrease the water will be reassessed tomorrow.

The water plant has experienced some issues and a higher than usual water demand and has been unable to make water faster than it is being used, which is resulting in a depleted reservoir.

The Water Plant Operators have determined that water conservation will again be needed at this time. To ensure sufficient water reserves for both the community and firefighting purposes, the pressure will need to be decreased beginning this evening to allow the reservoir levels to build up.

Please note that the issues have not affected the water quality.

We need your support conserving water because it is a crucial part of the strategy to keep this temporary situation as short as possible for the safety of consumers and fire protection.

If you suspect a leak or detect a water leak, please call either:

Moose Factory Water Treatment Plant: 705-658-2034
Moose Cree First Nation Public Works: 705 658 4619

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.

Kind regards,
Ontario Clean Water Agency
