Season’s Greetings!

The Moose Cree Chief and Council wish all Moose Cree members a Merry Christmas and all the best in 2022. This is a special time of year for families to celebrate the season and spend time together. This is our second holiday season living with Covid-19 and we encourage everyone to take care of each other by taking the necessary precautions while enjoying time with family and friends.

For close to two years we have been living with Covid-19 and it continues to be a challenging time for us all. Council would like to thank all Moose Cree members and all Moose Factory Island residents for working together to keep our community safe and healthy.  We also want to pay special recognition to the Pandemic Emergency Operations Team (PEOT) and the hard work that they have done to take care of all of us.  The PEOT is comprised of representatives from Moose Cree, Mushkegowuk, MoCreebec and Weeneebayko Area Health Authority, with participation at times from DDECS and Ministik School.

As families gather, we would like to acknowledge those families that have lost loved ones over the past year. We are thinking of you and please know that you are not alone. As Moose Cree people, we are and will always be there for each other.

We wish you a safe, healthy and happy holiday!
