To address the issue of the extended power outage our Community Emergency Response Team has been activated. The Team and staff has opened the E.P.R. Centre and Assisted Living Building.

The E.P.R. Centre, the Assisted Living Building, and the Seniors Residence currently have generators running.

Warming Locations:

  • The E.P.R. Centre is open to families with small ones needing a places to keep warm.
  • The Assisted Living Building is open for Elders in the community needing a place to keep warm. Staff will be checking in on the community Elders.

Please Assist Others:

We ask the community members to assist by checking up on your families and our Elders to make sure they are okay and assist if they need to move to those designated areas.

We ask that families with heat in their homes to take in other family members without heat.

Additional Information:

  • Two Bay in Moosonee is open until 3 am for those needing gas for their generators or vehicles.
