I have been informed by the Porcupine Health Unit and Weeneebayko Area Health Authority that there are nine (9) new confirmed cases of COVID-19 today in Moose Factory Island for a total of fourteen (14) active cases.
The number of active cases in Moosonee has increased to forty-five (45).
If you have not been contacted by nurses from the Moose Factory Health Centre it means that it is unlikely that you have been in close contact with the individuals with the confirmed cases.
Please do your part in preventing a spread of COVID-19 in Moose Factory by following these safety recommendations:
- Stay home as much as possible.
- Do not have visitors in your home, including relatives.
- When you do have to go out, stay 6 feet away from those who do not live in your household.
- Always wear your mask when out in public.
- Do not travel to Moosonee for the next several days.
