I have been informed by the Porcupine Health Unit and Weeneebayko Area Health Authority that there are eight (8) additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Moose Factory Island as of today. There are now fifteen (15) confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Moose Factory Island.
If you have not been contacted by nurses from the Moose Factory Health Centre it means that it is unlikely that you have been in close contact with the individuals with the confirmed cases.
Please do your part in preventing a spread of COVID-19 in Moose Factory by following these safety recommendations:
- Stay home as much as possible.
- Stay within your bubble.
- When you do have to go out, stay 6 feet away from those who do not live in your household.
- Always wear your mask when out in public.
We will continue to monitor this situation in the coming days. I urge everyone to remain calm and to strictly follow the above recommendations.
