Date: Thursday, August 11th, 2022
Area Affected: Entire community of Moose Factory Island

After receiving the required bacteriological test results, we are pleased to inform you that the boil water advisory has been lifted.

Please refer to the advice below which has been copied from the Porcupine Health Unit fact sheet, called ‘How to use water safely during a “boil water advisory”’.

What should I do after the boil water advisory is lifted?

  • Run cold water faucets for 1 minute before using the water.
  • Run drinking fountains for 1 minute before using the water.
  • Flush all garden hoses by running cold water through them for 1 minute.
  • Drain and refill hot water heaters set below 45°C (normal setting is 60°C).

We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused.

Kind regards,
Ontario Clean Water Agency
