Public Safety Announcement: Bears

Moose Cree First Nation has been working with our local authorities with the Moose Factory Island Fire & Rescue and Nishnawbe Aski Police Services to ensure we protect the community with respect to the bear population.

There are plans in place and resort to managing the situation in a safe, culturally appropriate manner. This will be assessed daily and measures will be implemented until such time we feel it is under control.

We thank you for your attention to this notice and encourage you to be bear wise during this time.
