Moose Cree Health Services presents a 5-part workshop series:

Land-Based Tools for Self-Care 

Community workshops to help you care for yourself and your family. In these workshops, you will learn new skills that are land-based to help you cope with issues that impact us all. This workshop series is designed so that you can attend all workshops or choose to attend the workshops that interest you. Below is a schedule of the dates and topics of each workshop. 

  1. Saturday, November 16, 2019 @ 2pm – Lateral Violence 
  2. Tuesday, December 17, 2019 @ 6pm – Grief 
  3. Tuesday, February 18, 2020 @ 6pm – Parenting 
  4. Saturday, March 28, 2020 @ 2pm – Intergenerational Trauma 
  5. Tuesday, April 28, 2020 @ 6pm – Suicide 

Location: The Gathering Place @ the Moose Cree Complex

Workshops will be facilitated by our visiting Trauma Specialist Amy Simpson, MA and our community’s own Indigenous Focusing Oriented Therapy (IFOT) Graduates. Amy Simpson is a Psychotherapist and instructor/supervisor of the IFOT program and has been visiting our community since 2014.
