NOTICE TO ONTARIO WORKS ASSISTANCE CLIENTS

ISC – INDIGENOUS SERVICE CANADA-Additional Funding to Address Inflationary Increases

ISC has contributed additional funds for the 2023/2024 fiscal year to help alleviate the rising costs of living due to inflation. We will be issuing these funds on Friday, June 16, 2023 to our Ontario Works (OW) clients who were on social assistance for the months of April, May, and June 2023.

If you were on social assistance within our OW office for these 3 months, you are automatically eligible to get this benefit; there is NO need to call in.

For those with direct deposit, funds will be deposited in your account on Friday morning. For those without bank accounts, cheques will be issued – please come to the OW office to pick up your cheque before 5 pm on Friday.

This relief funding is meant to assist with the high cost of food, clothing, gas, and other essentials, and is meant for Ontario Works clients only and does not include ODSP clients.
