DEC 23, 1:00 PM: With poor visibility at this time, community members are advised to stay off the ice road so that the contractors may begin to work on clearing the snow.
Moose Cree Group of Companies is managing the Moosonee – Moose Factory ice road for 2022, 2023. Cree Aski Ltd. was awarded the contract to do work on the ice road.
The road has not been officially open to date.
The contractor has advised that with the current and continuing snowstorm, their crew will not be working on the road today until the storm subsides.
Public is advised that any use or travel on the river is at your own risk.
