Statement from Moose Cree First Nation
July 26, 2023

Human remains were discovered inside the St. Thomas Anglican Church in Moose Factory on July 25th, 2023.

An investigation is now underway, however, preliminary findings suggest that the remains are of an adult. Additional updates will be provided as details are confirmed by NAPS, OPP, and the Coroner’s Office of Ontario.
