Job Location: Moose Factory, ON

 

Position Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the plumber is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing materials and equipment used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in residential, commercial or industrial buildings with the Housing Department and occasional assistance with Public Works.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  1. Journey Person Certification
  2. Minimum (4) four years experience in the plumbing field as an apprentice or Journey Person
  3. HVAC Experience considered an Asset
  4. Red Seal Certification considered an asset
  5. In depth working knowledge of the Plumbing Code of Canada
  6. General knowledge on the practical application of plumbing, electrical and mechanical principles
  7. Ability to read, apply and understand related laws, regulations, policies, and codes of the plumbing trade
  8. Good organizational and interpersonal skills
  9. Good written and verbal skills
  10. Good computer knowledge
  11. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  12. Must provide a recent satisfactory C.P.I.C. or proof of application
  13. Ability to speak Cree language considered an asset
  14. Valid class “G” drivers license or willing to obtain within a reason period
  15. Credentials required: degree/diploma/certificates (please attach proof of the same)
  16. Criminal record check clearance is required prior to hiring

 

Salary: As per salary grid

 

Duration: Permanent with three-months’ probation
