Animal Control Program Update
Notice to Community:
As of Monday August 14, 2023, we have retained the services of 3 personnel to resume the required duties of the program to the Animal Control Program. This will include Dog Control, Cat Control and the continuation of providing Vaccines against Parvovirus. We are looking to restock our supplies for vaccines, schedule visits with Vet Clinics, and provide safety measures for the community by capturing stray dogs. This will all begin today and will continue into the foreseeable future. Therefore, we are notifying all Dog Owners to tie up your pets. All strays will be captured and be subject to any fees that are applicable to retrieving them from the Dog Pound. The dogs that are not in ownership of residents on the island will be provided with suitable arrangements such as rehoming in the South, adoption or alternative options.
We strongly urge all community members to ensure their pets are tied up and not wandering the community.
