Labourers – Beautification Program 2024

Job Location: Moose Factory, ON

 

Position Summary:

Under the immediate supervision of the Beautification Supervisor, and general direction of the Director of Public Works, the Beautification Labourer shall be responsible for clean-up of debris, collection and disposal of garbage, cutting of willows in ditches, cutting grass, raking, performing spring clean-up and other related duties as required.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  1. Applicant must have experience operating small lawn equipment such as mowers and trimmers.
  2. Applicant must have working knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
  3. Applicant to implement recycling initiatives for plastics, cans, and grass cuttings.
  4. Proven ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on equipment will be considered an asset.
  5. To be physically fit for duty and work in adverse weather conditions.
  6. Ability to take direction well, and work in a team environment.
  7. Must have Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps or willingness to obtain.
  8. Must have WHMIS or willingness to obtain.
  9. Must have First Aid CPR-C & AED or willingness to obtain.
  10. Proficient with Microsoft 365.
  11. Must provide a recent satisfactory C.P.I.C with resume or proof of application.
  12. Applicants with a Class “G” Ontario Driver’s License will be considered before others.
  13. Priority given to new hires. Previous applicants may still apply for this position.

 

Salary: $17.50/hr.

 

Duration: June 3rd – October 4th, 2024 with possible extension
