Checkpoint Security (Casual / On-Call)

 

Job Location: Moose Factory, ON

 

Position Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Drug Task Force Coordinator, the checkpoint security shall be responsible for assisting in ensuring that individuals are reporting into the check point.

There is a zero tolerance for illegal drugs use; individuals will be dismissed from the checkpoint immediately if found in violation. Any discreditable behaviour will also not be tolerated, and therefore subject to termination.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  1. High school diploma preferred or experience working as a checkpoint security.
  2. Willingness to follow the precautionary safety guidelines always.
  3. Must follow and adhere to the health and safety standards of the organization.
  4. Strong leadership skills with the ability to work under minimum supervision and within a team framework.
  5. Good interpersonal skills.
  6. Must be willing to work shift work & on-call services.
  7. Must maintain strict confidentiality.
  8. Strong written communication skills
  9. Good physical condition and endurance.
  10. Must have a positive attitude on the current situation that addresses the drug issue in the community.
  11. Must be living a healthy lifestyle, abstaining from illegal substances.
  12. Shall have a thorough understanding of the cultural environment in which they serve.
  13. Required to be of good standing in the community.
  14. Must be able to stand on your feet for long period of time.
  15. The ability to speak Cree language is an asset.
  16. Must provide a CPIC with vulnerable person sector at applicant’s own expense.
  17. Must have class “G” Drivers’ License.

 

Salary: $25.00/hr plus 4% vacation pay
