Due to continued low storage tank levels, the water pressure is scheduled to be decreased:
- Today at 9:00 P.M. to 6:00 A.M.
The need to decrease the water will be reassessed tomorrow.

Water Pressure Decrease Notice

Area Affected: Moose Factory Island
Because of mechanical issues at the plant, the water pressure is scheduled to be decreased:
- Today at 9:00 P.M. to 6:00 A.M.
The need to decrease the water will be reassessed tomorrow.
During normal conditions (i.e.: no leaks, no taps left running, etc.) the water treatment plant runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week to keep the reservoirs full. The plant is running at maximum capacity and rarely shuts down. Unfortunately, issues developed which have affected water production. Staff are working to resolve the problem quickly.
Please note that the water quality has not been affected.
We need your support conserving water because it is a crucial part of the strategy to keep this temporary situation as short as possible for the safety of consumers and fire protection. At this time, we ask that you do not wash vehicles; etc.; or allow water to run for long periods of time for any reason.

Please be advised that Ontario Clean Water Agency would like all residents of Moose Factory to exercise good water conservation practices during this time.
The water plant has experienced issues which have hindered the ability to produce the usual amount of water.
We need your support conserving water because it is a crucial part of the strategy to keep this temporary situation as short as possible for the safety of consumers and fire protection. Please turn off all running taps, fix running toilets, and refrain from running outside taps for sprinklers, washing vehicles, etc.
Please note that the water quality has not been affected.
The need to decrease the water will be assessed later today.
