What is Renewable Energy?

Renewable energy (RE) is energy derived from sources that are naturally replenished from the earth. These sources include sunlight (solar energy), wind, water (hydropower), geothermal heat and biomass.


Unlike fossil fuels (coal, oil, and natural gas), which are finite and produce greenhouse gases (GHG) when burned, RE sources are more sustainable and have lower environmental impacts.

    1. Partnership: Collaborating with Commercial Bioenergy (CBE) and Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO)
    2. Objective: phase out of the gas and diesel reliance such as propane and to generate heating for homes and buildings
