Position Summary:

Moose Cree First Nation is leading a Residential School Survivor Project to establish protocols to guide the work uncovering the truth of what happened at Bishop Horden Hall Indian Residential School, to memorialize children who may not have come home, and to support healing for Moose Cree First Nation Survivors of Residential School, their families, and the community. To support this project, Moose Cree First Nation is looking for an Initiative Lead initiative with Survivors. Profession development and training opportunities will be available.



  1. Post-secondary education in indigenous studies, business, social work, or community services field; or a combination of related education and training with relevant work experience required
  2. Minimum of 2 years in professional working experience in the non-profit, heritage or social services is an asset
  3. Experience with working within First Nation preferred
  4. Knowledge of Indigenous culture, history, and issues, specifically residential school system
  5. Highly organized with ability to multitask and manage personal workload effectively
  6. Experience with coordinating and scheduling
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  8. Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task
  9. Excellent time management and prioritizing skills
  10. Excellent problem finding and solving abilities
  11. Excellent attention to detail
  12. Great computer skills in Microsoft Office and virtual meeting software
  13. Member of Moose Cree First Nation
  14. Ability to maintain high level of tact, discretion, and confidentiality
  15. Ability to speak Cree would be an asset
  16. Trauma-informed training an asset.
  17. G Class Driver’s License required
  18. Provide copies of certificates, diplomas/degrees along with submitted resume


Salary: As per salary grid


Duration: Permanent with three-months’ probation
