Drug Task Force Liaison Officer

Job Location: Moose Factory, ON


Position Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Drug Task Force Coordinator, the Drug Task Force Liaison Officer shall be responsible for delivering culturally appropriate resources and services to adequately fulfill the needs of the community and families serviced through Moose Cree First Nation and other outside services. They shall work in conjunction with other health and mental health professionals and organizations, including treatment programs and resources to create better linkages of support for the clients.



  1. Degree or Diploma Community and Justice Service Program will be preferred. Diploma Social Service Worker or Police Foundations will be preferred
  2. Experience with substance abuse and addictions.
  3. Experience with the criminal justice system.
  4. Knowledge of addiction theories, counseling techniques, and evidence-based interventions.
  5. Familiarity with various treatment modalities and resources available for individuals with drug addiction.
  6. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
  7. Familiarity with data collection and evaluation methods to assess program effectiveness.
  8. Ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities in the field of drug prevention.
  9. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
  10. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  11. Non-judgmental attitude and ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding.
  12. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  13. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.
  14. Knowledge of community resources and support services related to drug prevention and addiction.
  15. Passion for making a positive impact in communities and promoting healthy lifestyles.
  16. Must submit a recent satisfactory C.P.I.C. or proof of application.
  17. Class G Driver’s License is required.


Salary: $68,250.00 – $86,443.50


Duration: Permanent with 3 months probation
