Drug Task Force Field Technician

Job Location: Moose Factory, ON

 

Position Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Drug Task Force Coordinator, the Drug Task Force Field Technician shall oversee and be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting services to our field operations as it relates to the Drug Task Force at various locations. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving and technical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. As a Drug Task Force Field Technician, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide insights and support decision-making across various fields within our department. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with all other stakeholders.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  1. Technical certification or diploma will be preferred. College Diploma in Police Foundations or previous policing experience or related field of work preferred.
  2. Experience as a Field Technician or similar role.
  3. Experience as an Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
  4. Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing various types of equipment.
  5. Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
  6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  7. Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
  8. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment
  9. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
  10. Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and methods.
  11. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with complex datasets.
  12. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  13. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  14. Demonstrated knowledge of drug enforcement practices, trends, and related legislation.
  15. Ability to maintain confidentiality and work under minimum supervision.
  16. Must submit a recent satisfactory C.P.I.C. or proof of application.
  17. Class G Driver’s License is required.

 

Salary: $68,250.00 – $86,443.50

 

Duration: Permanent with 3 months probation
