Job Location: Moose Factory, ON

 

Position Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Home Care Coordinator, the Community Support Worker shall provide a comprehensive social service to assist the elderly and people with physical disabilities in their activities of daily living. The Community Support Worker will support the philosophy of assisting the elderly in maintaining their independence by providing a service which will help clients remain in their home environment.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  1. Certificate as a Home Support Worker is an asset
  2. Minimum one (1) year experience in the health care field.
  3. Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
  4. Proven interpersonal skills.
  5. Able to work under minimum supervision.
  6. Must be in good health and physically fit.
  7. Fluency in the Moose Cree language is an asset
  8. Class “G” driver’s license is a must
  9. Credentials required: degree/diploma/certificates (please attach proof of the same)
  10. Criminal record check clearance is required prior to hiring

 

Salary: As per salary grid

 

Duration: Permanent with three-months’ probation
