Business Development Officer

Job Location: Moose Factory, ON


Position Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Director of Economic Development, the Business Development Officer shall plan, organize, direct, and manage the activities of the business development component of the Moose Cree First Nation Economic Development Program. He/She shall be responsible to coordinate services and activities which would foster and promote a development and environment capable of supporting small business and performs other related duties.



  1. Post-secondary education in the business field.
  2. Related work experience in the field of economic development with related training.
  3. Good knowledge and understanding of business principles and practices.
  4. Highly motivated, displaying both initiative and tact.
  5. Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  6. Proven interpersonal skills.
  7. Computer literacy is also required.
  8. Ability to communicate in the Cree language is an asset.
  9. Credentials required: Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree in the business field (Attach proof of same)


Salary: As per salary grid  Duration: Permanent with 3-months’ probation
