Position Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Drug Task Force Coordinator, the Drug Task Force Administrative Assistant will support a range of services to organize, manage, coordinate, and support the Drug Task Force Coordinator to contribute organizational and departmental goal achievement The incumbent will play a vital role in supporting the overall objectives of the task force by assisting with administrative tasks, research, and coordination efforts. They will have the ability to work collaboratively with law enforcement agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders will be essential to the success of our mission to combat the illegal drug activity in our community. Must understand that this is a new department being built for our community, and that the position is fast paced with quick growth within this Department.



  1. High school diploma, Office Administration Diploma or Certificate will be preferred
  2. Minute taking training will be preferred
  3. Minimum 2 years in an administrative role or related experience
  4. General knowledge of administrative functions, practices, and processes
  5. Ability to take direction and work in a team environment.
  6. Strong client service focus
  7. Ability to maintain confidentiality and work under minimum supervision.
  8. Ability to work in a fast paced and constantly changing environment.
  9. Strong organizational and administrative skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  10. Proficient in using computer software and applications, including MS Office.
  11. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  12. Ability to speak Cree is an asset.
  1. Must submit a recent satisfactory C.P.I.C. or proof of application.
  2. Class G Driver’s License is required.


Salary: $42,900.00 – $54,346.50


Duration: Permanent with 3 months probation
