Office of the Executive Director
Welcome Message
The Moose Cree First Nation (MCFN) has grown into a dynamic public service and community government organization. It has and continues to enjoy opportunities for development both within the reserve and without. With a multi-million dollar operating budget, various business entities and close to two hundred employees at any given time the First Nation must conduct it’s business as a mini-corporation.
With this growth comes the challenges of an expanding organization with the need to modernize and incorporate new ways of doing business. It is becoming very important for MCFN to position itself for further growth and development. The executive management of the First Nation must ensure that a professional and competent organization is established and maintained well into the future.
One of the key objectives therefore is to ensure that strategic planning becomes a routine way of ensuring the organization achieves it’s goals and objectives. In order to support effective planning there will be an enhanced focus on the hiring and training of the best personnel available. These initiatives will be supplemented by modernizing the financial and program management aspects of the organization.
In conclusion, the management of the organization must structure itself to effectively support the directions and plans of the elected leadership, the overall goal being to better the quality of life and living standards of the all Moose Cree citizens.
