POSITION:

Bus Driver/Sanitation Worker

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of the Public Works Superintendent, the Bus Driver/Sanitation Worker shall be responsible to drive the school bus during the school year and perform daily operations and maintenance of the garbage compactor and perform other related duties.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Grade 10 and/or Grade 12 or lesser education with work experience maybe considered
  • Technical experience and/or education in basic Mechanics and general maintenance procedures
  • Must be self-motivated and willing to learn
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Valid Driver’s License, Class “G”
  • Valid Driver’s License, Class “B”
  • Must have First Aid and CPR or willing to obtain within a reasonable period
  • Must provide a CPIC with resume at applicant’s own expense
  • Copy of diplomas and certificates to accompany resume

SALARY:

As per salary grid with good benefits

DURATION:

Permanent position with six month probationary period

REFERENCES:

Provide two (2) recent employment references with resume and permission to contact.
