POSITION:
Employment & Project Officer
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Employment Training Officer, the Employment & Project Officer shall assist in the overall planning, organizing, directing and managing the activities and shall provide career counselling to clients of the Employment Training Unit component of the Moose Cree First Nation Economic Development Program. He/she shall be responsible in coordinating services and activities which would foster and promote Employment, Career and Training initiatives and performs other related duties.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Relevant College level accreditation and/or 2-4 years experience in services related to employment & training and counselling
- Knowledge and experience working with Aboriginal people
- Knowledge and experience in the area of employment & training initiatives
- Knowledge of the resource development within the Moose Cree homeland
- Knowledge of funding programs, budget preparations and financial forecast
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Proposal writing skills and ability to meet specific deadlines
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Computer literacy is essential
- Highly motivated, display initiative and tact
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to communicate in the Cree language is an asset
- Must provide a C.P.I.C. with resume at applicant’s own expense

SALARY:
As per salary grid plus good benefits
DURATION:
Permanent position with six month probationary period
