Moose Cree Outdoor Discoveries & Adventures is based out of
Moose Factory Island on the Moose River,
home to the Moose Cree First Nation. We offer expeditions
throughout our territory with a cultural aspect to each expedition through
native guides who do such things as:
- Story telling
- Cooking of traditional foods
- Traditional medicines
- Camping in traditional dwellings
A cultural and lifestyle experience through the northern reaches of
Ontario's James Bay region. Experience winter travel like no other with
Cree guides providing logistic support while you ski the region with nightly
stays in actual Cree hunting and fishing camps along route. You will
even have an opportunity to stay in traditional teepees outfitted
with wood stoves providing comfort on cold winter nights.
This tour offers healthy overture for the mind and body towards
the ways of Northern Cree Culture in winter. A first-hand educational
exploration into the travel, foods and remote wilderness lifestyle
of the Northern Ontario Cree Society.
